Auckland Knights Chess Club Becomes an NZCF Affiliate

Official NZCF affiliation confirmed

We are pleased to announce that Auckland Knights Chess Club Incorporated is now an affiliate of the New Zealand Chess Federation (NZCF).

In a letter dated 12 October 2026, NZCF Administration Officer Richard Christie confirmed that the club’s affiliation application has been approved under section 7.3(c) of the NZCF constitution.

This is an exciting milestone for our growing chess community in East Auckland and South Auckland. We thank the NZCF for its support and welcome everyone who has helped establish Auckland Knights Chess Club.

The NZCF advised that the club’s affiliation will shortly be reflected on its New Zealand Chess Clubs page.

We look forward to continuing to build a welcoming community through chess, coaching and tournaments.
